Compass was established
by John Stephens in 1997 as a non-shop front ABTA Travel Agency
specialising in personalised travel arrangements for the Individual
Tourist, Business Travel Clients and Group/Incentive Travel Market.
Knowledge and experience
has been obtained by travelling extensively to all corners of the
world, which has proved to be invaluable when dealing with the
requirements of clients.
Prior to establishing
Compass, John Stephens had been a High Street Travel Agent for 30 years
with branches in and around the Bristol area.
Our Clients
Compass clients are the
most loyal that any company could wish for. Many go back over 50 years
which pre dates Compass, but have followed staff members for quality,
service and continuity.
Apart from our website,
you will hardly ever see a Compass advertisement, as almost all of our
business is from existing clients and referrals.
Many of our clients are
now "Senior Citizens" but the good news from the Compass point of view
is that we now have older clients children and grand children making
travel reservations - These
usually start with honeymoons!

Currently the ABTA Chairman and National Council of Regions
Representative for the South West of England.
Nicola Hanham
Nicola joined Compass as a founding member of staff in 1997 after
working with John Stephens as a trainee since 1989.
Janet Brimble
Janet has invaluable experience in Retail Travel, Cruising and Groups.
She is a Registered Tourist Board Specialist in the following areas of
the world: Canada, The Caribbean, Australia and Dubai.
Molly Paskowski
Molly joined Compass in 2005 and has worked for Australian and American
specialist companies. She had previously worked with John Stephens from
1993 as a travel clerk.
Anne Stephens
Anne is the Company Secretary of Compass and organises travel
arrangements for specialists groups to all parts of the world.
Ann Houlden
Ann is Compass' Accounts Administrator.
